PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is one of the immigration policies of the province of Alberta, Canada, designed for international students and workers who study and work in the province. It is an economic immigration program that nominates candidates for permanent residency in Alberta. The program aims to find new immigrants with high skills and experience in working in Alberta and those who have certifications in commerce, technology, and other fields. The AINP also encourages candidates who have graduated from Canadian institutions. These options allow individuals to apply for the AINP without the need for labor support.

Each year, the AINP program selects and invites suitable candidates to receive a provincial nomination letter to supplement their PR application. The nominees must meet the required skills and competencies to compensate for the labor shortage in Alberta, as well as provide support for their families. This immigration nomination program is managed by both the government of Alberta and the federal government.

Generally, the score range for an invitation to apply for PR is around 430-450 points, but receiving a nomination letter from the province will give you an immediate 600 points, which increases your chances of obtaining a PR status. This immigration program targets two primary groups of individuals who hold valid work permits: workers with a work permit and an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) and international students who hold a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after completing their studies.
