INTRODUCE EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM

Express Entry is a system for managing and scoring immigration applications for Canada’s economic immigration programs, such as:

CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE

Candidates must meet the criteria of at least one of the three streams of Express Entry to be eligible to create an Express Entry profile and submit their application. The candidate’s points will be calculated based on their job, work experience, and educational qualifications. Some basic requirements for candidates to be eligible to create an Express Entry profile include:

* CLB 5 if the NOC

Work experience requirementsc Work experience in Canada in a job that is classified as NOC 0, A, or B Work experience in Canada in a job that is classified as NOC 0, A, or B Work experience in Canada or abroad in a specialized field that is classified under the NOC B
Required number of years of experience One year of Canadian work experience within the last 3 years (can be full-time or part-time) One year of continuous work experience within the last 10 years (can be full-time, part-time, or more1 main job) Two years of work experience within the last 5 years (can be full-time or part-time)
Job offer letter Not required Not required
May be awarded additional points if available
Required:
* Job offer letter for a full-time position with a term of at least 1 year.
Or Certification in a skilled trade issued by a province, territory, or federal authority
Education credentials Not Required * Diploma or degree from a college or university
* May be awarded additional points if more than one degree is obtained
