WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE C11 PROGRAM?

C11 is a work permit program for individuals and entrepreneurs who are allowed to conduct business freely in Canada (excluding Quebec). Entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals must demonstrate that their business activities in Canada will generate SIGNIFICANT economic, social, or cultural benefits for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The three categories under the C11 program are:

Economics – Business

Social – Individual athletes in sports

Culture – Individuals with unique skills participating in cultural activities

The initial work permit to operate a business in Canada will be valid for a period of two years and may be extended if the company continues to actively engage in business

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the C11 Significant Benefit program, candidates must meet the following requirements

Relevant work experience: Candidates must have at least two years of relevant work experience in business ownership, cultural, sports, or social activities.
Intention to start a business in Canada: Candidates with at least 50% ownership in a Canadian company;
Strong financial ability: Candidates must have good financial standing to invest in Canadian activities ($100,000+);
Significant benefit to Canada: The candidate’s company or self-employed activities must create a significant cultural, social, or economic benefit for Canadians.
Have basic proficiency in English

Within those, 3 different aspects will have certain specific requirements

ECONOMIC BENEFITS

The candidate’s business must meet the requirement of creating employment opportunities, and at least one of the remaining conditions listed below:

The company can create 3-5 jobs;
The company is based in a rural or remote area;
The company will export Canadian products/services;
The company will promote Canada’s industry (such as developing innovative products or services to differentiate and help Canadians improve their skills).

CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC BENEFITS

Candidates working in cultural and artistic fields, such as:

Authors and writers
Creative and performing artists
Musicians, dancers, actors
Painters, photographers, Sculptors
Technical support and positions in the film industry
Technical support and positions in the film industry
Technical support and positions in the film industry
Editors, journalists, and translators

THE PROCESS OF APPROVING IMMIGRATION

STEP 5: BECOMING A PERMANENT RESIDENT

Once the investor becomes a permanent resident and has resided in Canada for at least 1,095 days, they may be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship.

Depending on each specific category, candidates must meet the following requirements:

For the Economic category:

Meet the eligibility criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program under the Express Entry system;
Meet the eligibility criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program under the Express Entry system;
Have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 280;
Have a valid job offer;
Have at least one year of self-employment experience in Canada for the employer mentioned on the Labor License.

For the Social and Cultural category:

Have at least 2 years of experience in social and cultural activities;
Have the intention to be self-employed in Canada;
Score at least 35 points, for example, based on age (10 points for under 49), education level, experience (35 points for 5 years of relevant experience), etc
Have the ability to be self-employed in Canada (with evidence of financial capability and other necessary skills);
Reside outside of Quebec;
Processing time: 18-24 months.
