STEP 1: ESTABLISHING A COMPANY IN CANADA

Customers can choose one of the following 3 options:

• Open a new business
• Buy an existing company and own at least 50% of the shares
• Buy a franchise

STEP 2: TRANSFERRING FUNDS TO THE COMPANY ACCOUNT

Customers establish their own company in Canada and transfer funds into the company account. Alternatively, customers can deposit funds for the company into a lawyer’s trust account.

STEP 3: SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION FOR A LABOR LICENSE

After the final review and analysis, the application is submitted to the responsible immigration office for processing. The application documents are submitted online.

STEP 4: OPERATING THE BUSINESS IN CANADA (FOR 12 MONTHS)

After successfully obtaining a Work Permit, the investor needs to operate the business in Canada for at least one year to support the process of applying for permanent residency in the future.

STEP 5: APPLYING FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY

The applicant needs to meet the requirements for the Executive Express Entry pathway to become a permanent resident. The minimum requirements include:

• Having at least 1 year (preferably 2-3 years) of work experience in a managerial or high-level executive position.
• Owning or controlling a Canadian business that is actively operating and has the financial capacity to pay a reasonable salary in Canada for the applicant

• The applicant must score at least 6 points for each skill on the IELTS General exam, or 7 points for each skill on the CELPIP exam.

STEP 6: BECOMING A CANADIAN CITIZEN

After becoming a permanent resident of Canada and living in Canada for 1095 days, you can apply for Canadian citizenship. To become a Canadian citizen, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a permanent resident of Canada
  Have spent 1095 days in Canada within the past 5 years
• Have filed your income taxes for the past 3 years
• Pass a basic test on your rights, responsibilities, and knowledge of Canada
• Demonstrate basic language skills in either English or French
